Israel Loses the Will to Survive
A cease-fire has been agreed upon, and Hezbollah was unleashed by Iran, and will get stronger. Is this a step toward worse situations?Hezbolleh lobbed over 4,000 missles into Israel and got away with it essentially. The resolve of Israel was just not there to complete the task, just as it was not there with America in Vietnam or Korea or any other war since WW2.
Iran/hezbollah provoked a war to force Israel's hand and show what the leadership was made of. They already knew Olmert to be weak and feckless since he gave into their demands and brutally expelled his own. They realized his talk about getting back kidnapped soldiers was just so much bluff. A man who would evict his own and not hang onto militarily strategic land is not a man to fear. Hezbolleh proved to themselves that Israels will to fight and win is all but gone.
When a patient loses the will to survive most of the fight is over.
"We are tired of fighting, we are tired of being courageous, we are tired of winning, we are tired of defeating our enemies" said Ehud Olmert Last June to the Israel Policy Forum in New York City.
These are not the sentiments of a leader nor a man who will win any fight he undertakes. These are the words of someone already defeated long before the fight begins.
He further stated, “We are ready to compromise, to give up parts of the beloved land of Israel … and evacuate, under great pain, Jews living there, in order to create the conditions that will enable you to fulfill your dream and live alongside us” (bbc News, March 29).
How beloved is it if you are willing to give it up?
Not very evidently.
He is a man willing to enable murderous fanatics to have their dream come true.
Does anyone doubt what that dream is? It is not a nation of their own, it is the complete and utter annihilation of Israel and anyone who is not a Mohammedan ultimately.
No lessons learned
Israel has learned no lesson from the Gaza withdrawl just as the US learned nothing from 9 11.
If bombings and terror of the magnitude and scale we have seen happened in ancient times, all members of the offending group would be told to leave the county immediately. Pack up and go, you are no longer welcome.
But Israel, the USA and Europe continue in their myopic fantasy land perferring politcal correctness to truth.
Hamas controls the Gaza strip and will soon also control the West Bank and will be joined by Hezbollah and the missles will fly with abandon. Iran who is funded by Germany and their EU toadies will continue to fund hezbolleh and Hamas to keep the middle east in turmoil hoping for their chance to come dpwm as peace keepers. (translation: control of Jerusalem and oil )
The next stop is Jerusalem and gaining control there and expelling Jews from Israel or just killing them all.

As always (or at least since the Yom Kippur War), the Israeli Soviet Socialist Republic has failed in its duty to protect Eretz Yisroel and in doing so, has put the entire Jewish people in danger (and made us a laughingstock among the nations).
This ceasefire will not hold. You cannot enter into a treaty with bestial terrorists. They don't understand any language except force. The question is whether Israel will finally rise to the occasion when the tzoirerim break the treaty again. I am not holding my breath.
it is difficult for a nation to be stronger than its leaders, at this point in israel the corrupt and the cowardly clamber to power caring for nothing but themselves and that leaves us with a leadership no better than the arab world

Obviously he care nothing for Israel's dream of living in peace, only the dreams of arabs, which are dreams of destruction.
I'll say one thing, at least the arab leaders are being honest. They want to wipe Israel off the face and the earth and that's what they're saying.

The Olmert quotes were not new, but given over a year ago now in New York in a speech he made.
Olmert was a beaten man from the start.
If the Israeli's themselves do not demand change, action, and to hold on to the land at all costs, then they will be given the leaders they qualify for.
No great leader will rise up til the people demand it, mean it, seek it, fight for it, and remember their covenant with God.
If Jews will not lead in Israel there are others who will come in and do it for them and that will be a dark, dark day for all the world.

Why would Israelis elect a defeatist as its leader? Doesn't make sense.
I think people have lost the knowledge of what counts in a person and what to look for in leaders.
Today touchy feely is the byword and strong leaders of the past who draw hard lines and tell things like they are just are not liked or wanted.
The German rationalism and relativity taught in schools has changed the paradigm of the last 2 generations and thrown off their view of what is right and wrong.

in any case olmert wasn't so much elected as his party hijacked the election destroying the opposing two parties from within, creating a phony pensioners party aimed at older people, and illegally functioned as the incumbent party which amounted to nearly a coup d'etat
The values we seek in our leaders have been so diluted since WWII as to be of little use now .All seem self-serving. Family values and morality are tossed aside for MTV glitz and glamor . The character necessary to revere and follow G-d,with the resultant safety and success is missing .Like a car,we were given an "Owner's Manual" for a meaningful life,but few can find it in the overstuffed glovebox of our lives .We can but clean up our own lives and influence those around us for good.At the end of your rope ? The United States should have crippled Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria so they could not stand anymore, taken their oil( that we and the Brits found for them), and made them what they were originally, nomadic people without a nation.

Israel needs to dismantle itself at this point, and outsource its government, social services and security to some private concerns.
I have no idea who could provide government on a contract basis, but Meir Panim could certainly do a better job with social services than the government can, and perhaps security ought to be run by one of these private Israeli security firms that handles safety measures for private Israeli businesses abroad.

Then, there was the ridiculous deal which gave the Muslims control of their own holy places so that they could ruin the true mekoimois hakedoishim by digging into the foundations of the Beis Hamikdosh.
What a mess. The only legitimate government in EY is Malchus Beis Dovid, but still our fellow Jews deserve better than the Bolshevik regimes* that have misled them over the years.
*(even Begin AH, who was head and shoulders above the rest of the lot, made some real mistakes, though he realized it and sadly did tshuva by suffering through the last years of his life)
