Help Internet Radio Stay on the Air.
Would you all please do me a favor?
Congress is about to put an end to free internet radio broadcasting. Most of these stations are absolutely free to you but their owners pay stiff royalty fees to keep on the air. The fees are about to go so sky high that most will not be able to remain on the air.
A good number of the people running these stations are disabled as are a great number of those who listen in.
For some it is their only way to have contact with other people.
Stations like "Live 365" which offers a tremendous amount of programming..something for everyone!!...might be forced to close down.
Old commercials still run and gain the companies new business really !
I returned to using some products because of one commercial on my fav station, CrimeTime OTR... Advertisers should be fighting to keep this free advertising on the air as well!
Please call your Congressman at the central switchboard and tell him that you want internet radio to remain on the air won't you?
So many people who cannot work outside the home, so many shut ins depend on such things to keep in touch with the world.
You can reach the switchboard at 202-224-3121. Won't you call or write your Congressman today? I would appreciate your help. It's a great thing to help others and I thank you for giving of your time to help those who really need it.
Thank you so much!

it's a monopoly situation really because all these companies are tied up with radio networks these days
this is really an attempt to destroy internet radio, for their own reasons
unfortunately congressmen are themselves heavily bribed by the media companies and have approved mergers and consolidations and insane copyright regulations... one even proposed a law that would permit companies to destroy your computer with viruses should they suspect you of piracy
the situation has actually gotten worse with a democratic congress when guys like berman and co. and the politicians tied up with hollywood and the media base have more power and scope now
Please write a quick email ?
oy i wish i had a congressman...but i will pass this on to those who do...great post lemon lime...as always
I'm not sure if other states are having the same problem, but here in Ohio you can't get an email through any more due to mass mailings from groups. They've clogged their email so bad they can't get to your comments. It took over 6 months this last time for me to get a response.
The governor told me he's really working on it, but in the meantime if we want to guarantee our thoughts actually reach anyone we need to use snail mail.
It makes it a bummer in these sitches where you really need to get through. Hopefully, enough will though.

your blog looks prettier than ever the borders are so nice
I wrote too. I hate to see these radio stations go under.
Snail mail is a great idea, too, btw. Congressmen can delete emails easily enough, but it's hard to ignore a ton of mail. And when constituents that take the time to write a letter, pay for postage and mail it out makes an impression on them.
