Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize

"O

bama is standing above the country, above the world. He's sort of GOD .

......... newsweek editor Evan Thomas

It hasn't been that long since Bishops of the Catholic church declared that Obama was probably divinely ordained to his job . Now, hot on the heels of that worshipful proclamation, Barack Obama has won the nobel peace prize.

Obama is the third US president to receive the Nobel Prize. Theodore Roosevelt who talked softly but carried a big stick won it first, then Woodrow Wilson.

In 2002 Jimmy Carter won it. I think for making a mess in Iran at the time and weakening the USA. Maybe for monkeying around with Egypt and Israel?

Yahoo reports:

President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," the Norwegian Nobel Committee said, citing his outreach to the Muslim world and attempts to curb nuclear proliferation.
The stunning choice made Obama the third sitting U.S. president to win the Nobel Peace Prize and shocked Nobel observers because Obama took office less than two weeks before the Feb. 1 nomination deadline.........

"Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," Thorbjoern Jagland, chairman of the Nobel Committee said.

Will the love affair with the African bishops continue on? The church is now asking for Obama to make changes in health care.
With a mainly Catholic Supreme Court, it will be interesting to see how things pan out in many areas.George Stephanopoulos reports the Bishops comments on the health care plan as a "Change it or else" kind of demand.

Of course abortion is their number one concern. Funny that it is not a major concern of the mainly Catholic supreme court. Odd that.

The world is changing so quickly.

Up is now down and down is up and it's as if we have fallen into the rabbit hole.

One pill makes you ... well shades of Grace Slick I think .

All this adulation of one man. Scary no?

Children singing hymns of praise to him. 'The Gamaliel Foundation are praying to him, "Hear our cry, Obama! Deliver us, Obama!"

You also might like to check out this photo of Saint Obama complete with votive candles on the streets of San Francisco.

Women faint, and swoon and cry out over him at his speeches and the media proclaims that he is not of this world. He is the alpha and omega for high school teens, and "You'll have to measure time by `Before Obama' and `After Obama'"says Spike Lee.

It gets worse and worse but it's no longer funny. It's something from the outer limits, the twilight zone.

Where is it leading?

As I sit here in my Star Trek uniform, all I can think is that if up is down and down is up, it will certainly make for an awkward time in the bedroom! Not that I'd know though. The last time that I had a date she was offended because she didn't want to go dutch, and then she was offended because I insisted on taking my phaser. I swear, it was only set to stun!

I tried having cyber-sex, that failed miserably. I kept saying "computer, tell me how badly you want me". She responded "invalid entry".

I once knew a woman from Brooklyn who called herself by the name that you use. That simple fact has kept me coming back to here. I'd like to believe that one day we'd talk again, and that she could tell me how she has been, perhaps even relaying to me what was really real.

Wishful thinking I guess, something that I'm certain is never to be. I did what I felt I had to do but, I fear I may forever regret it.

Please accept my apologies.

Neville Chamberlain and a scrawny little Austrian with a brush mustache will be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize retroactively and posthumously for solving the Sudetenland crisis.

BTW Randy Cohen of the Times, the so called ethicist, lumped Teddy Roosevelt and Arafat YMS (and Mother Theresa who admittedly may be controversial) together as recipients from whom the prize should be revoked!!

Randy Conehead is the clown who told a woman that she should refuse to use the highly competent services of an Orthodox Jewish realtor who would not shake hands with her on religious grounds.
