"We Are Going to Let You Die"

Your health care will soon be available from your local DMV. After all the joking about the proposed socialist health care being just as dumbed down and confused as the DMV, voila, one of the stipulations in the health care agenda is that you should be able to apply for your health care at the DMV.

Oh joy. If you think it's bad now (and it's not) you will be overjoyed with the mess you get once the gubbermint gets it's hands on your health care.

Just heard on the radio a speech by Robert Reich saying that "we" (liberal democrats) will not pay for health care for senior citizens just to keep you going for another "couple of months" so "we are going to let you die". (by the way that got applause from the audience)
He will see to it that you don't "Live much longer than your parents".
These liberals are inhuman.

This is liberal thinking. It is the thinking of children, adolescents with chips on their shoulders frankly. These are people who believe that the nation has let them down, who feel entitled to things. The entitlement generations who don't work hard for things but expect them to be handed to them. Many of them are under employed, not employed or rich and over privileged.

One aspect of some childish thinking is that they know it all, have every fact they need and can determine better than their elders what is right from what is wrong. All things are black and white despite their protestations to the contrary , because they do not have the age , wisdom and experience (wisdom can only come from experience used in a right way) to see the truth.

Youth can have facts, but they lack the wisdom of years to put those facts into clear focus and action.
Liberal thinking does not advance too much beyond adolescent ideals. It is incapable of seeing real evil or real good or of that which is in-between. Adolescents also are indestructible, or so they believe. That idea that they will never grow old is one of the reasons they cannot respect their elders. Elders were born that way, always have enough money, and always in the way of adolescent plans.

It is easy at 20 to say that someone of 70 has lived long enough. But once you get nearer to 70 and are healthy or have the ability to be cured and live a decent life beyond that, you don't think you are so old anymore. At 30 do you feel old? Do you feel your life is done at 40? 50? 60? No, at any age you will fight to live and so you should. Children of 10 see 20 as very old. It is best to be very careful in setting limits on life.

But note that this is the pro-abortion crowd. Abortions for all, Murder your unborn with impunity! Never mind that abortion is rarely used to save the life of the mother but rather as a form of birth control and convenience.

Robert Reich is speaking for a whole movement that has gotten far too big a mouth in recent years and it is a childish movement that has fuzzy ideals and rejects wisdom.
A movement that despises America and what it stands for and wishes to replace it with their idea of a utopian marxist/socialist state run by a super government at the core. A government that intrudes, runs and dictates the lives of everyone under it. It is the movement of the immortal adolescent who sees everything in terms of themselves despite their ideals of fairness for all. In reality it never plays out that way.

1) Robert Reich is himself partially disabled. He is 4 ft 8 inches short (I usually do not ever mock anyone for height but in this case I mean short circuitry and short on many other things) due to some disease or syndrome. The slippery slope that he is beginning could lead to denial of care to the disabled and who knows what else.

2) If Osama bin Barack Hussein limits life extending care for elderly patients, watch the US life expectancy go UP as he will probably count 9 months as a year for purposes of tallying longevity. That is about what he does with economic statistics. It's like the 500 pound guy who loses 20% of his body weight by weighing himself on a cattle scale used by his crooked friend who sets it to weigh every 12 ounces of cow as a pound.

They shouldn't be voting on a public option, they should be voting on the removal of medicare, medicaid, social security, and social security disability.

Social security, social security disability, medicare, and medicaid are all huge socialist programs that must be stopped.

They can't be stopped. They could be phased out but something must be put in their place since the economy no longer allows for most people to save enough for retirement. Costs have risen far too fast since the Carter administration.
Medical costs are outrageously high for what you get and must be toned down.
States must not be allowed to dictate where they will allow insurance companies to sell their plans.
Cheap options have to be made available today.
Doctors DO live high on the hog.
When I was a kid they did housecalls, they lived in normal houses not mansions as they do today.
My doctor lived a few doors from me.His glassed in porch was his waiting room. He had a small addition on for his office and examining room. The house was middle class, not McMansion rich.
Today they drive BMW's and Lexus and live in huge sprawling homes, then complain that they have high insurance to pay. Baloney.
I have doctors in the family. They live like kings essentially.

Does being able to tiptoe under the table really count as a disability?

I'm not 100% sure of Reich's medical condition but it does have a name (not a simple growth hormone shortage). In the new Americhke, once something has a name, it can be classified as a disability. (It is also a disability under some states' DMV rules but as such it is the same as having a corrective lenses restriction on a licence - it just means seat modification is mandatory).

And considering his stand on abortions, under the Fourth Reich all any doctor would need to do is find a prenatal result with a syndrome that has a name, and abortion would be strongly suggested.

What I can foresee if the Fourth Reich takes over is that should ultrasound show a problem (those including Lubavitchers who don't use ultrasound will probably be forced to pay cash for prenatal care outside the system) abortion will be very strongly suggested, and should the parents not agree, the system will no longer cover prenatal and obstetric care for the birth.

And those results could be wrong, or indicate a problem that can easily be corrected, or one that really does not prevent a normal, happy life (let alone the fact that some of us still have values and beliefs and don't accept abortion under most circumstances).
