Peace

peace?

Abbas agreed when "protestors" said, "liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea by means of terrorism and violence." Abbas' actions do not fit his words either and while mouthing peace he was promising revenge and blood.
Hamas leader Ismail Haniya said jihad could not stop no matter what concessions were made.It would continue on nonetheless.
A deaf world hears only "peace".

In 1938 Germany was mouthing peace while brutalizing and murdering Jews at home and aggressively demanding land for German "living space".
German actions did not fit German words but for Neville Chamberlain and others it was enough that the word "peace" was used. That seemed to gloss over everything else.
If only Germany could have Sudetenland, Rhineland, everything would be alright. After all, they said it was theirs and used the magic word.
Six months later ,after being given Sudetenland,  they had taken all of Austria and by March of 1939  Czechoslovakia was gone and Poland was next.
Bang..bang..bang just that fast.

It will be no different this time. Once Gaza was surrendered it set the tone for capitulation to a people who celebrate Nakba, a day that symbolizes to them the death of every last Jewish person in the middle east.  Despite the actions, people hear only the word 'peace'.
