Shaking Washington

In August of 2011 a 5.8 earthquake shook the DC area causing damage to the Washington Monument and the National Cathedral.
There have been 82 smaller earthquakes since then and a 2.5 today.

Someone is rattling the DC cage.

What makes the quakes in the Richmond VA-D.C. region more significant is that they are rare there. It is an area not known for seismic activity.
