Playing Amateur Private Detective ..Not Smart

Yes the liberal media is biased. Yes, it uses people and I agree they are awful.
And yet my first reaction to the Martin/Zimmerman case was that George Zimmerman is a bit of a crackpot actually.
And let me also add that all media is biased..right and left. Both have their own views, agendas, etc. Comes with the territory What kind of nut runs around his neighborhood playing cop with a loaded gun anyway?
Why not just call the police if you find something suspicious instead of following people around?
It isn't normal really.  He eventually did call police but it seems he waited too long. Even the police told him not to do their job and to stop following Martin around.  I mean it is just common sense that you don't do that.
Normal people can extrapolate that trouble will come from it. That is exactly why the police told Zimmerman to stop what he was doing.
When civilians get involved they often exacerbate situations and it seems he did this time.

The Daily Mail states that Trayvon Martin wore a hoodie.. So? Shut up. I wear them too. I am not a 'gang banger'.
They say he got suspended from school. Yeah.. and the point? He got in trouble. Okay so?
He seems to have gone after Zimmerman because the guy was following him. That would
make me antsy too and if I was a guy, yes, I might turn and question why I was being followed and yes that might lead to a fight especially with a teen who are more volatile than adults.
Zimmerman provoked this by taking the law into his own hands far more than Neighborhood Watch ever was meant to do.
Ask your local police if it is ever a smart thing to follow someone around.
Ask them if its smart to do so with a loaded gun.
Ask them if being an amateur detective might get someone killed.

Yeah, it might and in this case it did.

    Don't rush to judgement.

  2. Those facts are known. He was told not to follow the kid.
I would say this to anyone who thought they could play private detective. It isn't a good idea because this is what can happen.

I didn't judge either man. I judged the situation. No one should go out following people.. not ever.

The sheriff of my county told the homeowners of my community to arm ourselves and to keep watch ourselves because he could not guarantee that any of his people could make it out to our area in time to prevent a crime that was being committed. So, we do have a neighborhood watch, and we are armed, and we have had no crime. Not one firearm has been discharged in our neighborhood in the 21 years I have lived there.
And Lemon, Zimmerman was not told to not follow the kid, he was told that it was not necessary to follow the kid. There is a huge difference between an order and a suggestion.

    1. That's good anonymous. Glad its working out.
Things can go wrong, however. There is a reason police get training and even with them it sometimes goes wrong.
He should have taken the suggestion.

    2. I agree that he should have taken the suggestion. I just saw pictures of the crime scene and from the look of what is shown, Zimmerman lost track of Martin and was returning to his vehicle and passed by where Martin was standing. I do not know what happened at that point, so I will not say anything more regarding what happened.
However, if I saw an unknown person in my neighborhood walking around at night, I would approach him and ask if he needed any help. At least he would know that he had been seen and that may prevent a possible crime. I just saw that I did not have to use Anonymous. It makes it look like I am trying to hide.

    1. Oh, good. I was wondering where you were. Here.. take this tip boy and take my bags, all 9 of them to my suite on the 60th floor.
Don't get your sticky hands all over them either.

    2. I don't actually deliver the bags. I just dump them in the elevator and hope that they find their way to where they truly belong.
