The Daily Mail states that Trayvon Martin wore a hoodie.. So? Shut up. I wear them too. I am not a 'gang banger'.
They say he got suspended from school. Yeah.. and the point? He got in trouble. Okay so?
He seems to have gone after Zimmerman because the guy was following him. That would
make me antsy too and if I was a guy, yes, I might turn and question why I was being followed and yes that might lead to a fight especially with a teen who are more volatile than adults.

Zimmerman provoked this by taking the law into his own hands far more than Neighborhood Watch ever was meant to do.
Ask your local police if it is ever a smart thing to follow someone around.
Ask them if its smart to do so with a loaded gun.
Ask them if being an amateur detective might get someone killed.
Yeah, it might and in this case it did.
Don't rush to judgement.
ReplyDeleteThose facts are known. He was told not to follow the kid.
ReplyDeleteI would say this to anyone who thought they could play private detective. It isn't a good idea because this is what can happen.
I didn't judge either man. I judged the situation. No one should go out following people.. not ever.
The sheriff of my county told the homeowners of my community to arm ourselves and to keep watch ourselves because he could not guarantee that any of his people could make it out to our area in time to prevent a crime that was being committed. So, we do have a neighborhood watch, and we are armed, and we have had no crime. Not one firearm has been discharged in our neighborhood in the 21 years I have lived there.
ReplyDeleteAnd Lemon, Zimmerman was not told to not follow the kid, he was told that it was not necessary to follow the kid. There is a huge difference between an order and a suggestion.
That's good anonymous. Glad its working out.
DeleteThings can go wrong, however. There is a reason police get training and even with them it sometimes goes wrong.
He should have taken the suggestion.
I agree that he should have taken the suggestion. I just saw pictures of the crime scene and from the look of what is shown, Zimmerman lost track of Martin and was returning to his vehicle and passed by where Martin was standing. I do not know what happened at that point, so I will not say anything more regarding what happened.
DeleteHowever, if I saw an unknown person in my neighborhood walking around at night, I would approach him and ask if he needed any help. At least he would know that he had been seen and that may prevent a possible crime. I just saw that I did not have to use Anonymous. It makes it look like I am trying to hide.
I follow people around all the time, but then again I'm a hotel bellhop.
ReplyDeleteOh, good. I was wondering where you were. Here.. take this tip boy and take my bags, all 9 of them to my suite on the 60th floor.
DeleteDon't get your sticky hands all over them either.
(Tip: Slowpoke in the 3rd at Aquaduct)
I don't actually deliver the bags. I just dump them in the elevator and hope that they find their way to where they truly belong.
