"...your land, strangers devour it in your presence"
Isaiah

President Obama's unilateral DREAM decision puts him in the position of breaking the law of the land.
As he swore to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States, he has now broken that sworn oath. Should he be fired?
Of course he swore to nothing at his inauguration, so, perhaps that was his work around on that.
His unilateral decree gives amnesty not only to those who were brought to the USA illegally by parents, but to those older teens and twenty somethings who traipsed across the border all on their own.
Is he pulling a Caesar like empire move? We are a Republic. Rome was too until Caesar grabbed power.

While people want to be kind and compassionate to the stranger, it is not always possible when your own citizens are wounded and hurt by it. And unbridled illegal immigration hurts the nation.
What you think of as an act of kindness turns out to be a cruelty.
What about Marco Rubio the Republican? Some want him as vice president for Mitt Romney. He has his own plans for amnesty just like Obama.
All the candidates have bleeding hearts for the wrong things, the wrong ideals. Where is the compassion on the USA and the rising crime rates from illegal activity, the loss of jobs, etc.? Where is the compassion for those who come here legally each year?
Where are demands to clean up the situations that are destroying the Mexican people and their nation? Where is the moral outrage over the murders occurring in Mexico daily?
If the US should intervene to help anywhere it should be for those nations on our own doorstep! Our own neighbors for goodness sake.
But there is no compassion for them. And, as Hillary Clinton said, there is too much money to be made in drugs to bother really. This is the awful mind set of our leaders.
"It is that the city is become Greek, Quirites, that I cannot tolerate; and yet how small the proportion even of the dregs of Greece! Syrian Orontes has long since flowed into the Tiber, and brought with it its language, morals, and the crooked harps with the flute-player, and its national tambourines, and girls made to stand for hire at the Circus. Go thither, you who fancy a barbarian harlot with embroidered turban."---
Juvenal
Whoever is put in office it seems that the outcome will be the same as it is the big money robber barons who finance both sides of this mess and expect a return on their investment.
Romney is Mormon , Rubio is Catholic. Both of these religions want free immigration as it means more numbers for their ranks. The two religions are backers of amnesty and what they call sanctuary cities.
When you allow illegal and unbridled immigration the character of a nation changes necessarily. Therefore all nations have policies that restrict the number of immigrants that flow into their borders each year.
The change of character and ideals can be seen in Europe where many Western European nations have changing populations.
A complete change of people in ancient Rome/Italy is what brought down the Empire.
By the time of the destruction of the second temple in Israel few Latins were left. The slaves and freedmen had taken over and changed the moral and political goals of Rome. It was not Romans who took down Jerusalem . They were pretty well gone by then. It was the mind set of Babylon that took down Jerusalem.
When Juvenal calls them "Greeks" he is using a term by which they had become known, but they were no longer Greek either. It was Babylonian now. Nations had simply shifted westward!
Tacitus tells us that by Nero's time, most of the knights and senators of Rome were the descendants of slaves, the native Roman-Latin population having dwindled down to an insignificant minority eager to leave the country. Tacitus informs us that 90% of the population were 'oriental' meaning Babylonian and Syrian, etc.
Juvenal said the same things. They were not exaggerating. Things were bad and the character and mind set of Rome was not what it once had been. Rome was sinking into a morass of filth and degeneration that would become horrific as time went by. The morals of Babylon were the lowest of their day!Juvenal's famous line about the "Orontes flowing into the Tiber" was literal.
The Orontes was a Syrian river, and the oriental Babylonians who had moved into Syria had indeed flowed westward into Italy and now Italy had become Babylon.
And this is how nations change and their character changes. Now it is important to note that the character of a nation takes on the major mind set of the people who are in the majority.
In the end the character of the United States is being changed. Ask your elders if the US is anything like it was when they were a child. They will tell you no.

One of the most informative, interesting and enlightening articles I've read in a while.
ReplyDeleteKudos, you've outdone yourself.
quite fascinating, and unfortunately there are vested interests pushing for immigration and a specific kind of immigration that serves their interests and needs
ReplyDeleteImmigration is a sore spot for me...Bush ticked me off, probably because his brother Jeb is married to a Mexican! However, in defense of Rubio, whom I like,...YObama stole Rubio's idea as soon as Rubio stated it...not exactly the same, but similiar. And Newt too,..similiar thoughts. I am softening a little for the young who were brought over here...not really right to punish them, but I think we have ALLOWED too much too long to be able to turn back now.
ReplyDeleteYou opened my eyes a lot. I had no idea. This was great.
ReplyDeleteI see the US in the future as something similar to Belgium, bilingual and divided, with strong separatism. Hispanic California will be demanding perpetual bailouts just like the french in Belgium leech the flemish. Most people will identify themselves not as americans but as anglos and hispanics. Then there will be muslim areas, etc. Quite balkanized. There are similarities with the multiethnic Soviet Union as well.
ReplyDeleteWhile some point to Brasil as the US future, there is no bilingual divide there, and their muslim population is quite small. Which means that the divide in the US will be worse. Balkanization will increase when the economy is not good and people start fighting for dwindling resources. There will be strong foreign interference as well, using minorities as proxies.
I agree mostly. However, having grown up in Soviet Union, I would like to point out some fundamental differences between USSR and the present day US.
DeleteIn every republic of the ex-Soviet Union, a very strong notion of the "oldest brother", namely the Russian one, was being imposed and cultivated from a very early age. Russian culture (read Nationality) was to be the most dominant one. They were the more equal among equals, so to speak. By the way, the sense on nationality is still very strong among slavic people in general, and they are much better prepared to what is lying ahead of us in the West... at least mentally. As a result, after the collapse of Soviet Union, the Russian Federation survived, and retained its economical and military supremacy in the region.
Now, in the US, a complete opposite is happening, where the original founding Anglo-Saxon culture is being put down and ridiculed. It is systematically destroyed from within not only by its enemies, but by its own self-hating representatives (white progresso-liberals).
Growing up, I do not remember any self-hating Russians. In fact, have never met any. I know plenty of self-hating white North Americans, and that is a sad fact. It is a symptom of a more severe cultural disfunction, and that will have deeper consequences for America. There is no dominant culture there right now.
I seem to recall something to the effect that what caused the degeneracy and decline of both the ancient Greeks and Romans was in part due to the implosion of the family, declining birth-rates / demographic collapse and Greek / Roman men being alienated and disenfranchised with their society to the point where they expatriated and married or procreated with non-Roman women, with Quintus Caecilius Metellus Macedonicus even going as far as pleading to Roman men that falling birth-rates required them fulfil their duty to reproduce, no matter how irritating Roman women might have become, while Tacitus noted that the traditional patriarchal family-oriented Germanic peoples were more civilized and less degenerate than the Romans.
