Thank you! I often wonder if the reason Hashem gave the Jewish people the land of Israel in the Middle East because He knew it would become the darkest place on the earth?<br /><br />That sounds terrifying walking in a forest in virtually pitch darkness. You demonstrated true faith by walking only in the path of light. I love stories such as this in which people put the truth of Hashem&#39;s word into action.<br /><br />Can&#39;t say I&#39;ve ever been in a forest. The closet I&#39;ve come to the pitch dark is a cottage in Crystal Beach, Ontario. A tiny community and beautiful but at night there were absolutely no street lights and the cottages were far and few between.<br /><br />Everyone else in the house was fine and wanted to sleep with the lights off.
